About Denise
Author · Intercessor
J. Denise Jones is a prophetic minister, Bible teacher, entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, and cancer survivor with a passion for helping others grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through the truth of God’s Word.
As the founder of Back 2 Basics Outreach Ministries, Denise is committed to teaching foundational biblical principles, encouraging spiritual growth, and reaching underserved communities through outreach programs that serve the homeless, nursing home residents, and families in need. Her ministry focuses on helping believers develop a deeper understanding of Scripture and cultivate a stronger personal relationship with Christ.
Denise is also the owner and director of The King’s Kids, LLC, where she has spent years investing in the lives of children and families through early childhood education and care. Having overcome significant personal challenges, including her battle with breast cancer, Denise’s life stands as a testimony of God’s faithfulness, healing, and sustaining grace. Her journey through spiritual abuse, church hurt, and eventual restoration inspired her to write My Voice Will Not Be Silenced: A Journey Through Spiritual Abuse, Healing, and Freedom. Through her testimony, she hopes to bring healing to those wounded by unhealthy spiritual environments and offer encouragement to those seeking freedom, restoration, and truth.
Denise believes that while people may fail, God never does. Her passion is to help others recognize the voice of God, walk in biblical truth, and experience the freedom that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
She resides in Maryland with her husband, Robert Jones, and enjoys spending time with her family, teaching the Word of God, serving her community, and encouraging others through ministry, prayer, and discipleship.
